Well HELLO Lovely! And Welcome to Vintage Comb, A Hair Skin and Nail Boutique. We’re so happy to have you. My name is Loren and I am the dreamer and the instigator of Vintage Comb. Our journey started about 3 years ago. I had been doing hair for some time and felt as if it were time for that ‘next step’. But what was my ‘next step’? I was craving and needing to fuel my passion and take my dream to the next level, but wasn’t sure which direction to go.
Opening a salon was not the first thing that entered my mind. Not at all. I didn’t want the crazy drama or the responsibility that goes along with running a salon. So, I prayed. And I prayed some more. And over the next 3 years I began a journey of self discovery. I found on my path to self discovery was a desire to do something unique and different than the standard and the only way I could accomplish this desire was to open my own salon.
On May 3, 2011 the dream really did become reality. Whether or not I was ready (pinch me!) it was happening and it has been the most amazing journey of our lives. OH and when I refer to ‘our’ that’s my hubby CW (Also known as Cdubs, W, or I like to call him Dubs). In a mad race against time we opened Vintage Comb in 5 weeks (yes, we had some MAJOR help).
We would love to thank our amazing family. Without them, we seriously still wouldn’t be open. You have been through it all with us. The moments of feeling defeated and the moments of triumph. You have never stopped believing in our dream and in us. For that, we are forever grateful.
We both have families that live out of state, but we have been so blessed to have friends that have become our family here. We have such an amazing Oklahoma family. It just makes my heart melt.
And a HUGE thank you to my personal clients. It is you who have inspired me to be the hairstylist and artist that I am today. Thank you for supporting me and helping me to make my crazy dreams come true. All of the sweat and tears (happy and sad) have been for you. It has been an honor and a privilege taking care of you and I will continue to as long as you will let me.
